About the Founder
The Greece Retirement Guide was founded and is directed by Laurie Kezas, a journalist with a career spanning more than three decades. From 1995 to 2017, she worked as a journalist for To Vima, published by Lambrakis Press, one of Greece’s most established newspapers. She has since contributed political and social-affairs opinion pieces to the financial publication Mononews, alongside senior communications roles in both Quebec and Greece, and is also the author of novels and children’s books, published in Greek.
That dual perspective, Canadian and Greek, journalistic and administrative, shapes how the Greece Retirement Guide is built: on direct sourcing, careful verification, and a working knowledge of how both countries actually function. This project is the natural extension of that work, from reporting on Greece to helping others build a life within it.
Editorial Philosophy
Relocating your life to another country calls for information as reliable as a front-page report. Every piece of content on this platform rests on field reporting, credible sources, and direct interviews with the people who know a given process, place, or policy best. AI tools assist with research organization, translation, and structuring drafts. They do not replace reporting, sourcing, or judgment, every article is personally researched, written, and verified before publication.
